Pigeons from the Dam

I am back after a long drive to and from Amsterdam, sadly the motorways aren't full of pigeons or seagulls. When I got there though I saw hundreds of Dutch Pigeons, they seemed to be everywhere, you couldn't escape them everywhere you look would be another pigeons arse.

Believe it or not some of them do get a bit camera shy if you try to catch them eating.

In Dam Square they were taking over, flying around causing no harm what so ever but scaring the crap out of small girls.

On my campsite there seemed to be no pigeons but a lot of these little guys, just as I was getting a good photograph of one a pigeon flew in and tried to stand on the little fella, I think he's a bit jealous.

Pigeons wanted

Our team has been split. We have temporarily gone our separate ways to seek out the infamous "rats of the sky". I went on a hunt to France, but as it happens only got some good shots at Dover port, and caught some hitchers on the ferry too. There was a distinct lack of both types of bird in the mid west region of France where i was based, i did however see a lovely wood pigeon one day which was lying down on the grass having a nice sunbathe. Hopefully Agent Phoenix has got many pigeon shots in the Dam and beyond.

A very friendly Seagull in Llandudno, they where all quite lovely and polite chaps there. They were sitting on the pier enjoying the view.

A seagull in Conwy catching the train.

A headless pigeon in Conwy.

How to track a pigeon :)

hello, squawk and coo

Hello hello, this is pigeons and gulls(fancy eh?), a little blog that me (James Edmondson) and my girlfriend/colleague/partner in crime (Catherine Chialton) have decided to start to show our appreciation and ever growing fascination of pigeons and seagulls.

We have known each other for a few years now and we often have little adventures(days out) and often find ourselves around pigeons and seagulls. We love to photograph things. Anything really but these lovely little birds always catch our lenses attention so we are starting this blog to share these photos of our little winged friends. Enjoy.
